“Daniel?” you asked your boyfriend as he lay on your lap. “Why don’t you cut your hair?”
His eyes still closed he answered, “Never get around to it…why?”
You smiled and ran your fingers through his hair. “It’s really long.” Running your fingers through his hair again you said, “But if you cut it then you wouldn’t be able to put it in a ponytail anymore.”
He opened his eyes giving you a small smirk, “Do you like my ponytail, __________.”
“Well it was the first thing I noticed when I saw you,” you said. “You know, with all those other guys who had their hair buzzed you really stood out.”
Daniel took one of your hands and laced his fingers with yours, “So you noticed me first? I believe I was the one who walked up and talked it you first.”
You blushed, “So? What did you notice about me O’ master of observation?”
“You’re smile,” he said pulling your hand to his chest, “you make the room brighter.”
You blushed harder, “You liar…” you mumbled.
He chuckled slightly, “I’d never lie to you. So you think I should cut my hair?”
You shook your head, “Nah it actually looks kinda cool. Like you’re a knight from medieval times.”
“So I’m your knight in shining armor?”
Leaning down you kissed him on the nose, “Yep, so am I your damsel in distress?”
Daniel gave a short laugh, “I don’t know about damsel…”
“Daniel!” you slapped his chest playfully.
“Hey,” he said grabbing your wrists gently, “I wasn’t done. I don’t know about damsel…I’d say you’re more of a princess.” With that he leaned up and kissed your lips.
