It was hard to believe that it had been two years since you had started working as a police officer. It had also been two years since you met your partner, Arthur Kirkland.
~Le Flashback~
"So Miss ____________," it had been two months since you had joined the forced and Mr. Bonnefoy wouldn't leave you alone, "what is a lovely lady like you doing tonight?"
You gave him your best smile, "I was thinking of going home and getting an early start on tomorrow. Don't want to be tired for work."
He gave you a charming smile, "Really are you sure you wouldn't want to-."
"Leave her alone," shouted your partner. You giggled, he was really cute and he was smart, but best of all he kept Francis away from you. Francis ran off and Arthur leaned against your desk, "Are you alright __________?"
You nodded, "Just fine."
"So _________," he said his face turning slightly red, "I was wondering if you'd like to…go…on…on…an activity with me!"
'Activity?' you thought, 'like a date?' "What would this activity entail Arthur?"
"Umm, maybe dinner…bowling…you know whatever," he was tripping over his words. You had to fight yourself to not laugh at how adorably awkward he was.
You smiled, "Sure I'd love too, when will you pick me up?"
"S-six?"
"Six it is, see you at six Arthur," you smiled and got back to your work.
~End of le flashback~
It was a wonderful first date, and the first of many for the two of you. The relationship soon turned serious and then the two of you decided to become permanent partners.
"How's dinner coming Mrs. Kirkland?" asked your husband kissing your cheek from behind.
"Just fine dear," you said turning you give him a light kiss on the mouth. Oh yes, the two of you were defiantly partners for life.
