"I'm sorry Prince Arthur, I don't love you," you said sadly. You didn't want to offend him, but Prince Arthur just wasn't your type.
Arthur turned red with anger, "Fine! You'll regret this Princess _________." He threw a small packet of dust at you and you let out a squeak.
"Prince Arthur wha-meow!" you put your hand over your mouth. "What did you do?" You felt a sharp pain all over and let out a screech.
"This is your punishment for rejecting me Princess __________," he smirked. "Maybe I'll take it back if you accept me Princess ____________."
"Never," you snarled and fell on all fours. After letting out a string of pained meows you looked down at your hands. Or should I say paws. "Prince Arthur how could you-meow! Meow! Meow!" After that, 'meow' was all that came out of your mouth.

It had been three years since Prince Arthur had cursed you in the body of a cat. Ever since you had become a cat you didn't eat well, you were always cold and always scared for your life. To make it worse Prince Arthur would track you down on the anniversary of your cursing and ask you if you changed your mind.
The answer was always no. However you found a gift in this curse. Every full moon you changed into your human form.
Children laughed as they threw rocks at you.
"Stop," said a calm cool voice. The children dispersed quickly and you looked up to see a kind looking man with olive green eyes. "It's alright kitty." He slowly approached you, being cautious.
Keeping eye contact with him you slowly walked over to him and nuzzled his out stretched hand.
"You are a pretty kitty," he whispered, "such soft (hair color) fur." Still being careful he picked you up and rubbed you behind the ears. "Do you want to come home with me?"
You bobbed your head, "Meow!"
He gave a small smile, "You will be called Princess." You blushed under your fur. He was quite handsom, brown hair with a strange curl at the top and olive green eyes.
"Your highness!" shouted a voice from behind. "Prince Hercules."
So your savior was a prince?

Prince Hercules returned to his room that night where he left you slightly miffed about the suitor. "I wish I was a cat."
"No you don't," you thought jumping into his lap.
"I could sleep whenever I wanted, and I wouldn't have to put up with the princesses here either," he sighed. Then he noticed you on his lap and rubbed you behind the ears. "Good Princess, good cat."
He was such a kind man. Why on earth wasn't he married? You purred affectionately. At least he was kind to cats.
The full moon was tonight, tonight you would turn into a human once again.
Eagerly waiting by the window sill you watched the moon rise.
The slight pain that you had grown accustomed too shot through your body. You looked down at your hands and gave a small smile. Slipping outside you danced around, everything was still and quiet. The dress you had been wearing the day of the curse was still there.
"Who are you?" asked a voice from the window where you had left. Prince Hercules jumped out of the window and approached you.
"What are you doing here?"
You looked up to the sky, "Enjoying the moon. It's the only time I'm free."
Turning your head to look at him you said, "The curse."
He took your hand in his, "What curse?"
"A prince become angry that I didn't love him so he cursed me."
"How do you break it?" he asked.
You shrugged, "I don't know." You gazed at your joined hands.
"You are very pretty," he whispered.
He leaned in forward slowly and you copied his motions unintentionally.
The sound of an explosion was heard and the two of you snapped back.
"____________, you don't deserve happiness!" shouted Prince Arthur pointing at you. He had arrived in the puff of smoke that had made the sound. "Be with me or I'll curse you again."
Hercules put a protective arm around you, "Don't hurt her."
"Pfft, I never hurt her," he smirked at you, "did I ___________. I just put you in the body of a cat, huh Princess?"
"Princess?" he asked and looked you up and down. Your hair was the exact same color as your fur. "You're Princess?"
You nodded sadly. He leaned forward and to give you a small kiss on the cheek, but you moved suddenly by accident and he got your lips. The sun rose as your lips touched.
"NO!" shouted Prince Arthur in rage. With that he disappeared. For his magic was no match for true love.
Prince Hercules leaned back and noticed something, "Your ears…"
You felt the sides of your head then slowly moved up. There were cat ears. Turning your head slightly you saw a tail. "I'm a cat!"
"No, you just gave ears and tail," he said, "its cute."
Prince Hercules gave you another kiss. And you lived happily ever after…
